By 2020, more than half of all STEM jobs are projected to be in computer science-related fields. It is projected that there will be 4.4 million computing-related jobs by 2024. More than 70% of all jobs in STEM related fields will need some knowledge of computer science and programming. This track offers several courses and depending on previous exposure, a student can start with any course that they feel comfortable with. Beginners can start with Introduction to Programming with Scratch and work towards learning JavaScript, Python and Java languages in subsequent courses. Students interested in pursuing AP Computer Science A can start with Exploring Java with BlueJ and then take on the courses related to AP Computer Science A. This is a really popular track among students of all grade levels. Each student can start at the level they are comfortable with and work on progressing through various courses.
