What is meant by life processes? What is required to live?
To live in this world, all living beings need to perform certain important functions. These functions are called life processes.
The following life processes are required to live:
Movement:
Movement is when the living organism moves a body part or parts to bring without a change in the position of the organisms.
Respiration:
Respiration is the biochemical process in which the cells of an organism obtain energy by combining oxygen and glucose, resulting in the release of carbon dioxide, water, and ATP (the currency of energy in cells).
Growth:
The process involves the changes from a smaller organism to a big organism
Reproduction:
Reproduction is the biological process by which organisms give birth or give rise to a new organism.
Nutrition:
Taking of food inside the body and converting it into smaller molecules that can be absorbed by the body.
Excretion:
The process in which the waste materials produced in the cells of the body are removed from the body.
