Dr. Nitya Rajeshuni is a physician in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University and faculty with the Center for Asian Health Research and Education (CARE) and Center for Innovation in Global Health (CIGH). She received her BS, MS (Epidemiology and Clinical Research), and MD from Stanford University. Following her residency training at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, University of Pennsylvania, she went on to Harvard Medical School where she completed a design and innovation fellowship with Harvard Health Tech.

Dr. Rajeshuni is passionate about improving health equity amongst racial/ethnic minorities, particularly those of South Asian descent. Her research focuses on health disparities, access to care, and implementation and evaluation of public health programming and digital health applications in low-resource settings. She has served as a contributor for the ABC New Medical Unit and medical humanities journal Synapsis.

Dr. Rajeshuni is also an avid performing artist and has trained in Western piano and Bharatanatyam, completing her Arangetram, alongside a background in musical theater and chorale. She starred in the viral music video parody Dear Future Doctor and is currently a vocalist in the world music band Wobbly World and the Stanford Symphonic Choir. She serves on the Alumni Board for Cap and Gown, Stanford’s Society for Women Leaders. She is a strong believer in education and mentorship, and is thrilled to speak at bitWise Academy.
