Gopalakrishna M. Kamath
Prof. Gopal Kamath has more than two decades of aerospace experience in varied ecosystems spanning academia, research & development, and aircraft industry. He has worked in the CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL), the Tata group of companies, and Bombardier Aerospace. He is a recipient of the Vertical Flight Foundation award from the American Helicopter Society, the Minta- Martin fellowship from the University of Maryland. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India. Gopal Kamath obtained his Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai. He received his Masters and Doctoral degrees from the Department of Aerospace Engineering, University of Maryland, College Park, USA. His professional interests include aircraft structural health monitoring, corrosion fatigue, bio-mimetic, and composite materials & structures. He has co-authored more than fifty technical publications.
