I am incredibly grateful for my internship and the time I spent at BitWise Academy. Venkat and the entire team were a pleasure to work with. We were developing an educational chatbot application long before ChatGPT was released—working on the frontier of technology to bring innovation to the edtech landscape. Although my career was still in its early stages, working at BitWise allowed me to fully recognize and actualize my potential. They provided me with ample resources and the freedom to explore and innovate on their platforms.

My experience at BitWise Academy has genuinely opened many doors since then, and I would highly recommend that anyone who has the amazing opportunity to work with them take it. I am now studying Computer Science and Public Policy at Vanderbilt University and will be interning at Jane Street this summer.

I interned in the summer of 2018 at BitWise Academy, and it really set the foundation for my career. My role was to develop the Statistics curriculum, which included some Python scripting using data science libraries to visualize some of these harder mathematical concepts. At the time, over 250 students had pre-enrolled in my course. What really stood out to me during my time there was that being on the other side of the educational experience and helping develop curriculum is a humbling experience — there’s a lot to keep in mind and a lot of attention to intricate details. And, I could see a lot of gaps in the concepts we were learning that were covered by some of our more detailed visualizations and interactive models at BitWise. For example, fundamentally a neural network is a hard concept to grasp, not only the structure but how information flows. However, what I found exceptional about BitWise was that the focus on allowing a student to play with these concepts through state-of-the-art visualization really made the learning experience so different. Instead of focusing on a grade or learning the scope required for a project, the curriculum focuses on giving you the full picture and more so that you’re ready for academia and industry alike.

I wrapped up my Masters in Computer Science from Georgia Tech last year, and I’m currently at Apple doing Computer Vision and ML-related work for the Smart Home Team, where I focus on cameras. Feel free to reach out on LinkedIn if you want to chat!

My time at bitWise was incredibly formative — I taught myself AP Statistics and Data Science, and went on to design a course called Data Science with Python for AP Stats students. What stood out most was the creative freedom to build something meaningful, like a movie recommendation system that helped make the material more engaging. That experience taught me how to take complex concepts and turn them into accessible, real-world tools. It’s a skill that continues to guide my work as a Master of Engineering student in Computer Science at Cornell University.

My internship at bitWise Academy opened new doors for me and had a significant impact on my life. Through this experience, I got to work with amazing coworkers and my boss. The skills I acquired through the internship continue to support my success today.

During my time at bitWise, one of my significant roles was to market bitWise's academic tools. With such an enriching environment at bitWise, I was able to enhance my team working and discussion skills. My internship at bitWise set up a strong foundation for my future endeavors. I gained the confidence to work with others in a professional setting and advocate my opinions in a meaningful manner.

bitWise gave me opportunity to explore in fields I hadn't before and offered tools to facilitate my success. My learnings at bitWise Academy will continue to guide me as I attend university this coming Fall.

My experience at bitWise Academy was amazing. I had the best boss and great coworkers. This was my first internship, so I didn’t have anything to compare it to, but honestly, I already know nothing else will top it. It was a welcoming and supportive work environment that gave me a glimpse into what my future career could look like.

Throughout the internship, I learned so much from my boss and peers. I also got the chance to explore some of bitWise’s courses, which were super easy to use and filled with helpful practice problems. As a visual learner, I appreciated how interactive the lessons were which really helped me understand new concepts quickly and clearly.

This experience helped me discover what I’m passionate about and gave me preview into what it takes to run a business, all while having fun!

Currently, I’m continuing to explore my interests in the STEM field and focusing on growing my skills for the future.

As a summer intern for bitWise Academy, I learned many useful things that I put into practice during my first year at university. Creating posts for the bitWise Instagram page taught me how to find an audience, experiment to discover what would pique their interests, and connect with them. My experience writing reports for bitWise has also served me well, allowing me to write reports for my engineering club at university.

I loved my experience at bitWise Academy! As a student in high school, I was given the opportunity to curate test papers for other high school students, focused on Mathematics. bitWise gave me the platform to display my skills in a professional environment. The mentors and guidance I had throughout my time there was nothing short of exceptional. My experience there gave me the foundational skills to handle professional situations and communications, all the while contributing to a vision that helped the educational community.

bitWise was my first introduction to programming (even back when I thought I would never code again after my APCS class — how wrong I was!)

Mr. Venkat fostered a collaborative and interactive environment to learn programming concepts and develop foundational skills. I didn`t need to take an object-oriented programming class in college because of the thorough learning. Working as an intern helped further develop my interests at the intersection of arts and AI — I love visual art and I helped work on material for the bitWise design course. I`m so grateful for this experience!
